Guide for accountants & bookkeepers

Eight steps to run several clients in one account and export clean records.

1

Get access to the client

Ask the client to invite you, or create the company yourself and invite them. You keep one login for every client.

2

Switch between companies

The company switcher at the top of the screen moves you between clients without signing out. Each company keeps its own settings and records.

3

Set the VAT scheme

Check the VAT number, the scheme and the period dates for each client before the first return. A wrong scheme is the most common cause of wrong figures.

4

Work through the review queue

Entries the AI is unsure about are collected in one list. Fix the category, split a line or attach a missing receipt, then approve.

5

Chase what is missing

Mark an entry as waiting for a receipt. The client sees the request in their app and can photograph it there and then.

6

Reconcile the bank

Match bank lines to entries in bulk. Anything unmatched stays visible, so the period never closes on a mystery payment.

7

Prepare the VAT Return

Open the return, check each box against your own working papers and record your approval. The digital records stay linked to the figures.

8

Export into your practice software

Export the period to Xero, QuickBooks, Sage 50 or FreeAgent, or take plain CSV, Excel or JSON if your practice software prefers it.
